Furnishing the Future: Raise the Paddle for Community Campus Improvements

The WMS Auction and Gala’s Raise the Paddle is an annual opportunity for our community to come together and champion specific areas of need that enhance programming and enrich the educational experience for our students, staff, and families.  

Propelled by the inspirational generosity of Raise the Paddle events in years past, WMS has embarked on a fearless and innovative reinvention of our campuses. As ever, but never more so than right now, we’re dedicated to creating the optimal Montessori learning environment for all students from toddlers to high school. With your help, we can make these ambitious goals a reality. 

Bothell Campus Transformation
The Bothell campus has already seen significant changes, with an expansion into Building 3 that gave us more high school classrooms, a science lab, and an indoor PE space. In the coming months, we’re thrilled to open the doors to our new teaching kitchen, teacher’s lounge, music and drama classrooms, more library space, an enhanced art classroom, ID lab, community room, and more. 
To bring these spaces to life, this year’s Raise the Paddle will:

• Fully equip the new, modern teaching kitchen, so we can offer traditional and yet timeless practical-life experiences to students of all ages.
• Supply essential equipment for the music and drama spaces, so we can cultivate and nurture creative expression and arts appreciation in our children. 
• Furnish an inviting community room with flexible furniture that will transform to welcome families, students, and staff as we gather and connect for presentations, events, meetings, and more. 
• Install shelving and comfortable furniture for the library, so we can provide a quiet and cultured refuge for students to study and read. 
• Outfit the ID lab with counter tables, so our children have more space to explore their interests in innovation and technology.

Woodinville Campus Enhancement
At the Woodinville campus, Raise the Paddle funds will increase outdoor seating and expand the courtyard, establishing a comfortable and inviting space for families and students to come together and foster a robust sense of community spirit.
